“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity” -Albert Einstein

2020 challenged everyone in different ways. For Annie and Jodi, it was time spent taking care of family in some of the most difficult hospital stays, when not already at work in healthcare and emergency services. Annie and Jodi found their outlet through creativity; Annie through her jewelry creations and Jodi through paint.

Annie makes beautiful pieces of jewelry with semi-precious stones and hand tied silk. Each piece has a unique pendant often repurposed from an antique shop or created by another local artist. Her work can also be seen at Avalon in Beaver Creek.

Jodi started out simply painting rocks, that would become more and more elaborate. It was a request from a friend to paint a large elk antler that expanded the “canvas” to different antler shapes and various animal skulls, from flora to mandalas.

The sisters grew up in the Vail Valley and continue to live, work and play here in Eagle County. When not at work, they can often be found outdoors hiking, running, skiing, or enjoying the river with friends and family.
