Birthday Parties
Make your child’s next birthday party creative, memorable, and stress-free! At Alpine Arts Center, we handle the setup, instruction, and cleanup so you can relax and enjoy the celebration. Just bring the cake and any food or drinks you’d like to serve. Our art parties are perfect for toddlers through teens, with a variety of painting, pottery, clay, and mixed media projects to choose from. (Looking for adult birthday party info? Details here!)
Party Includes:
- 2-hour party (90 minutes of art, 30 minutes for cake, food, and presents)
- Choice of art project
- All art supplies and instruction
- Decorations
- Smocks for all guests
- Plates, napkins, and utensils upon request
- Complete setup and cleanup
Pricing
- Up to 10 children: $400
- Additional children: $25 each
If many parents plan to stay for the party, please let us know in advance so we can reserve additional seating. A fee of $10 per attending adult may apply when extra space is needed. Wine, beer, and mimosas are available for purchase by adults and are served by Alpine Arts Center staff.
Most parties are held during our regular studio hours with reserved tables for your group and work well for up to 20 children. Full studio rentals may be available for larger groups—please inquire for pricing.
Please reserve your party at least two weeks in advance. A $200 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date and will be applied to your final balance.
Toddlers and Young Artists:
A Painterly Party (ages 5+):
Your guests will feel like Picasso and Van Gogh as they create original works of art on professional canvas boards and easels. The birthday guests will choose a painting from our website options or an image of your choice, and an instructor will demonstrate step-by-step. These masterpieces make the perfect party favor! *Canvas boards included; for stretched canvas additional materials fees apply.
Clay Celebration (ages 4+):
The birthday boy or girl will choose from themes such as animals, dinosaurs, piggy banks, butterflies, prince/princess, hearts, and more, or create functional pottery such as picture frames, bowls, mugs, and flower pots. Please select from air-dry clay or fired clay. For air-dry clay, guests can make and paint their sculptures and take them home at the end of the party; they are not food safe or glossy. For fired clay, sculptures will be ready 2 weeks after the party and they will be clear glazed to make them food safe; the birthday parent will be notified when fired pottery is ready to pick up and distribute.
Paint Your Own Pottery (ages 3+):
Choose from tons of paint pottery items to pre-order for your birthday guests, or let each guest choose their own item from our store (“blue” pieces included in regular rates; additional fees may apply for larger items). To pre order, click here for the complete selection and then call or email us with item numbers. (Note: guests will not be able to take pieces home that day due to the firing processes. The birthday parent will be notified when the pieces are completed.)
Bejeweled Birthday (options for older or younger artists):
For younger artists, paint your own jewelry box and accent the top with jewels and glitter! Then make a beaded necklace and/or bracelet to put inside!
For older artists, design and make your own fun and unique jewelry. Select from our wide variety of beautiful beads, or learn how to make your own! Each party guest will create bracelets, necklaces and more.
