Different Points of View Gallery Information

More information about the artists:
Amy is an award-winning oil painters whose plein air pieces are known for the subtle color that she sees in nature as well as her expressive brushwork. Her studio paintings are created from her outdoor studies.  Collectors have remarked that her work often doesn’t shout at you...it is quiet and serene. Amy Evans feels that it fills a void that current art trends are lacking, bringing serenity and beauty to one’s space.

Amy’s paintings have been in exhibits and galleries in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, North Carolina, New Mexico, Virginia, and Wyoming. Her work is also in private and corporate collections throughout the United States. One of her paintings was recently selected for the annual Breckenridge Music Festival Poster.

Amy holds a B.A. with Distinction in Art from Rhodes College, Memphis, TN. She has also studied at the Art Students League of Denver, CO., and the former Taos Institute of Art.

She is a signature member and President of Women Artists of the West, a signature member of Plein Air Artists of Colorado, founding member of Piedmont Outdoor Painting Society in North Carolina, and an associate member of American Impressionist Society.

Tricia Bass has a formal education in fine arts with a minor in art history from the University of Florida.  She has worked in several areas of art on her journey to becoming a painter, including free-lance illustrating and pottery.   Tricia considers herself a huge fan and student of study of deceased masters Sergei Bongart, Fedor Zakharov and Edgar Payne, as well as living legends Don Sahli, Scott Christensen and mentor and friend Scott Yeager.   She considers her work to be fairly Russian in style due to years of study with Sahli but is growing her own melting pot American style through the influence of others.
